The Collected Stories of Stefan Zweig Stefan Zweig
Publisher: Pushkin Press Ltd.

An eclectic collection of four brilliant stories, including a Renaissance tragedy and an English whodunit. I was familiar with George Saunders's Pastoralia: Stories and a Novella (Riverhead) is a collection of bite-sized tales that makes my life, hiccups and all, seem like a blessed one. Nov 1, 2013 - This week's story is from The Governess and Other Stories by Stefan Zweig, published by Pushkin Press. The book condemns the madness of the war from Refusing then in December 1917 to return in service in Northern Hungary, Andreas Latzko settled down in Switzerland where he corresponded with other exiles and pacifists such as Stefan Zweig and Romain Rolland. May 18, 2014 - I was delighted to read that director Wes Anderson was inspired by the novels of Stefan Zweig. Oct 26, 2013 - Maybe one of the most interesting example is represented by Andreas Latzko's Men in War (Menschen im Krieg), a collection of six stories set during the WWI. Apr 8, 2014 - Having just seen Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel, I picked up a copy of Stefan Zweig's Letters from an Unknown Woman and Other Stories (Pushkin Pr., 2013) because Anderson has acknowledged that the Austrian author had influenced his latest film. Oftentimes they started out novel-length, but he tended to cut them down a lot in the revision process. Oct 19, 2013 - Started his novella collection Fantastic Night and other stories. I've read "Invisible collection" (known also as "Buchmendel") by him and I fell in love. He pretty much only wrote novellas. Nov 11, 2013 - Pushkin Press has just published The Collected Stories of Stefan Zweig. The stories have been translated from German by the award winning translator, Anthea Bell. Apr 24, 2008 - When usually the prospect of reading a complete book of stories by the same author fills me with apathy, I'm not sure why I continue to be attracted to the collections of Stefan Zweig, published in the UK by Pushkin Press. I had an unread copy of The Post-Office Girl on my TBR . I love this collection though I do have an issue with it. It made me cry, a lot, but I loved it. Hence, since I already You can try his short stories or novellas (ie: Letters From An Unknown Woman, Buchmendel, Amok, Chess etc..) all of which I have found to be quite excellent.
